4 Nabbed For DWI On Midnight Shift In Hudson Valley Town Police in a Hudson Valley town were busy on the midnight shift, making four arrests for alleged driving while intoxicated. The arrests occurred in Rockland County in Ramapo on Saturday, June 22. According to the department, the following were nabbed during the shift and charged with DWI: Michael Edison Quishpe-Chugchilan, age 19, of Hillcrest, was found asleep at the wheel at an intersection and was determined to be intoxicated.  Geisel Manuel Tut Xal, age 20, of Chestnut Ridge, was involved in a single-car accident where a vehicle hit a tree. Dog Dies, 20 Displaced After House Fire Breaks Out In Hudson Valley Some 20 people escaped a roaring fire at a Hudson Valley home that was reportedly being used as an illegal rooming house, but a dog perished.  The fire started in Rockland County around 9:30 p.m.,  Sunday, in the village of Chestnut Ridge at 510 Chestnut Ridge Road. When Spring Valley firefighters arrived on the scene numerous residents were in the home, but all were able to escape safely, except for the dog, said the Ramapo Police Department. The incident took place in Rockland County on Friday, Oct. 21 in Hillcrest. According to the Ramapo Police, officers responded to a home in the Hillcrest section of the town for a domestic dispute.  Upon arrival, it was learned that the man had left the scene, but an investigation revealed that the man had assaulted the woman while he was holding their infant child, police said. 18-Year-Old Shot Walking Down Street In Hudson Valley, Police Say Police are investigating after an 18-year-old was shot in the leg while walking down a street in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place in Rockland County just after 1 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 5 in the hamlet of Hillcrest. According to Det. Lt. Chris Franklin of the Ramapo Police, the man was walking on Slinn Avenue in Hillcrest when he was shot. He was treated at Westchester Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries, Franklin said.
