Hang Glider Injured After Landing In Tree In Capital District A hang glider is scratched up but otherwise okay after an unplanned landing in a wooded area of the Capital District. Emergency crews were alerted shortly before 11 a.m. Monday, May 9, of a hang glider who was down in an area off Carrick Road in East Berne, in Albany County, according to the New York State Police. Troopers, along with New York State Parks Police and the Albany County Sheriff’s Office, responded to the scene and located the man a short time later.
