Greenwich Lawyer Nabbed For Writing $28K In Bad Checks, Police Say A Fairfield County woman who is a lawyer in Westchester has been charged with larceny and issuing $28,000 in bad checks    On Monday, July 24, Greenwich Police arrested Caitlin Moran Hayes, age 43, for allegedly issuing the bad checks, one for $15,000 and another for $13,000 that were returned for insufficient funds after entering into a lease agreement and moving into the residence. Darlene Moonan, age 64, of Bedford was arrested on Thursday, Aug. 12, for an incident that took place in January in Greenwich, authorities said. Suspect Arrested In Connection With 2016 Greenwich Burglary Police have made an arrest in connection with a 2016 burglary in the Byram section of Greenwich. Darren Simpson, 53, of Poughkeepsie, was extradited from the Westchester County Jail on Tuesday, Feb. 26, in connection with the Oct. 18, 2016 robbery on North Water Street, Greenwich police said. He was charged with burglary and criminal mischief.   Simpson is being held on $150,000 bond.
