'Giving, Generous' Family Loses Home On Son's Birthday In Northern Westchester
A beloved family from Northern Westchester that lost their home in a fire and is known for often lending help to their community is now receiving an outpouring of support in return. The Palmiotto family lost their Mohegan Lake home on Mohegan Avenue in a fire that started on the night of Saturday, Feb. 25 around 7:30 p.m., the same day as their son's birthday. Authorities have released the identity of a 17-year-old boy who died after falling through the ice at a state park.
