Sexual Performance By Child: Man From Hudson Valley Nabbed On 17 Counts
A former Hudson Valley resident has been charged with 17 counts of alleged unlawful surveillance and possessing a sexual performance by a child following an investigation that included the US Department of Homeland Security.
David C. Mulhauser, age 41, in North Arlington in Bergen County, New Jersey, formerly of the Ulster County town of Gardiner, was arrested on Wednesday, May 17, by the Ulster County Sheriff's Office.

Hudson Valley Woman Accused Of Embezzling $730,000 From Her Employer
A Hudson Valley woman has been accused of embezzling nearly three-quarters of a million dollars from her employer.
New York State Police say that an investigation revealed that Ulster County resident Kelly A. Scotto, was found to have stolen over $730,000 from her former employer, Libolt and Sons construction company, located in Gardiner over a three-year period.
Scotto, age 36, of Gardiner, was arrested on Tuesday, Dec. 14, and charged with:

Covid-19: Spike In Cases Sparks Concern In Ulster County
After seeing a spike in new novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, Ulster County Executive Pat Ryan is warning that the fight against the virus is far from over.
There were more than 45 new cases reported in Ulster County between Thursday, July 2, and Sunday, July 5, prompting Ryan to issue warning to his constituents that the fight isn’t over.
According to Ryan, the spike is being attributed to graduation parties, a manufacturing facility, an apple orchard, and a softball team.

Skydiver Found Dead In Parking Lot Without Parachute, State Police Say
State Police are investigating a fatal skydiving accident in which the victim was found without a parachute.
The incident took place in Ulster County on Sunday, June 28, when the body of a man was found in front of the Gardiner Fire Station in Gardiner, said New York State Police Trooper Steven Nevel.
According to Nevel, the skydiver, William McCartin, 40, of New York City, boarded an airplane at the "Skydive the Ranch" facility and jumped out of the airplane at approximately 14,000 feet along with another skydiver.

Seven Dems Vie For Faso's 19th District Congressional Seat
Seven Democrats have entered the June 26 primary race to challenge U.S. Rep. John Faso in the fall election.
Democrats in the race include Antonio Delgado, 41, of Rhinebeck in Dutchess County; Brian Flynn, 50, of Hunter in Greene County; and the only female candidate: Erin Collier, 34, of Cooperstown in Otsego County.
