Hyde Park Car Wash Heavily Damaged During Fire An early morning fire caused heavy damage to an area car wash after flames started in a storage area. The fire was reported by an automatic alarm around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Foam and Wash Car Wash at 888 Violet Ave., in Hyde Park, said Roosevelt Fire Chief Lew Darrow. Minutes later a passerby noticed the flames and called 911, he said. Roosevelt and Fairview firefighters responded and were met with visible flames, he said.
