Man Charged After Threatening To Kill Motorists At Traffic Light In Hudson Valley, Police Say
A man was arrested on an "extreme risk" protection order for allegedly scaring motorists during a road rage incident that was caught on a Ring camera in the region. The incident took place in Dutchess County on Saturday, Feb. 24, in Wappingers Falls. Wappingers Falls Police said the department received notification from Ring Neighbors, a public online social media platform, on Saturday warning of a "possible crime" in the area. 20-Year-Old Charged After Cache Of Weapons Seized In Northern Westchester
A 20-year-old has been arrested after a cache of weapons was discovered in Northern Westchester, authorities announced. Emeric Tyler of Yorktown has been charged with illegally possessing numerous high-capacity ammunition magazines which were stored in his family’s Yorktown home along with numerous lawfully possessed weapons. Westchester Has Lowest Gun Homicide Rate In State, New Data Shows
The lowest-ranking county in the state for gun-related incidents is in the Hudson Valley, according to a recently released report from the Centers for Disease Control. Based on a five-year average, Westchester ranks the lowest in gun-related homicide deaths in New York, and is the third lowest in overall gun-related deaths and has the sixth lowest death rate of gun-related suicides, according to the report.
