Ulster County Man Used Large Piece Of Wood In Violent Altercation: Police A Hudson Valley man is behind bars for allegedly using a large piece of wood (2x4) during a violent fight that seriously injured a 34-year-old man.  The incident occurred around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8, at the victim's home on Route 209 in Wawarsing, said Trooper Jennifer Alvarez of the New York State Police. According to Alvarez, During the altercation, Eudomar Demacedo, age 31, of Ellenville, struck the victim multiple times with a 2x4. 1 Dead, 2 Hospitalized After Gas Leak At Home ln Region A 66-year-old man died, and two others were hospitalized after a suspected gas leak at a home in the region.  The incident occurred in Sullivan County around 9:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, in Wurtsboro. Ulster County Sheriff’s deputies were called at around 12:45 a.m. Thursday, July 28, with reports of several people attempting to enter a secure area at Ellenville Hospital in Wawarsing. Hospital staff told deputies that one of the men had become “irate” when he was denied access to the emergency department to visit a friend. Beginning on Monday, March 23, new sites launched at the Intermodal Center at Dutchess Stadium on Route 9D in Fishkill and Tech City on Enterprise Drive in Kingston.
