Wrong-Way Driver Intentionally Strikes Cop Car During Capital Region Pursuit, Police Say A 36-year-old man is facing charges following a wrong-way highway pursuit in the region in which he intentionally struck a cop car, authorities allege. Daniel Hammon, of Albany, was arrested on a warrant Thursday, Oct. 19, in connection with the July 2023 incident on I-90 in Rensselaer County. An Albany County Sheriff’s deputy was chasing Hammon on I-90 in East Greenbush on July 25, 2023, when a State Police trooper began assisting in the pursuit. Rensselaer County resident Jessica Muller, age 39, of East Greenbush, was arrested Tuesday, May 31, following an investigation by New York State Police. It came one day after investigators began looking into a complaint that Muller had had sexual contact with a victim who was under the age of 15 at her East Greenbush home, police said. Capital Region Man Charged In Fatal Crash In Rensselaer County A Capital District man is accused of causing a DWI crash that left a man dead. Rensselaer County resident Dylan Densmore, age 26, of Poestenkill, was arrested Thursday, April 21, following the wreck on Highway 355 in Poestenkill, according to the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office. Emergency crews arrived at the scene around 10:40 p.m. and found Densmore outside of his GMC pickup truck, along with a second man who was trapped inside his Honda Civic, police said.
