Man ID'd As Victim In Fatal Crash In Region, Driver Charged A 28-year-old man from the region has been identified as the victim of a single-vehicle fatal crash in which the driver was charged with vehicular manslaughter.  The collision occurred in Greene County at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, on Route 54 in the town of New Baltimore. New York State Police troopers conducted a traffic stop at approximately 3 a.m. on Friday morning on Vassar Road in Poughkeepsie, when the driver, Poughkeepsie resident Steven Vollaro, 38, committed an undisclosed vehicle and traffic violation. During the subsequent stop, troopers determined that Vollaro was in possession of approximately 1.2 grams of cocaine and was operating his vehicle while he was intoxicated.
