Man Standing On CT Roadway, Struck, Killed By Pickup Truck A 39-year-old Hudson Valley man was struck and killed by a Dodge Ram pickup truck while standing on a roadway in Connecticut. The crash occurred in Hartford County around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, on I-91 north of the Exit 46 on-ramp in Enfield. According to the Connecticut State Police, Dutchess County resident TJ Jennings of Hopewell Junction was standing in the highway's right lane when struck by the truck. The truck came to a stop on the right shoulder, state police said. State Police said Jennings sustained injuries "not compatible with life" and was pronounced dead at the scene. …

Hudson Valley Woman Killed In 3-Vehicle Crash A 68-year-old Hudson Valley woman was killed in a three-vehicle crash when a box truck allegedly crossed into oncoming traffic. The crash took place in Orange County around 9:40 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 7 on Route 300 in the town of Newburgh. According to Lt. Peter Talarico of the town of Newburgh Police, an investigation shows a 2019 Ford box truck was northbound on Route 300, approaching a curve in the roadway when it appears to have crossed onto the southbound lane and struck a 2019 Dodge Ram. The robbery took place in Yonkers on Wednesday, Dec. 22, when a group of men robbed an Amazon delivery truck in Yonkers, said FBI agents and detectives from the Yonkers Police Department. The robbers were wearing masks and one was armed with a gun. The company announced that it is recalling 693,000 pickups to fix the tailgates. It comes on the heels of other recalls for tailgates that opened while the trucks are operating, totaling more than 1.1 million vehicles in all. The recall was expanded on Thursday, Aug. 29, and it includes 2013 and 2014 model Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 trucks. The motorcyclist, Bretburton Clark, 25, of Brookfield, was operating a Harley Davidson southbound on Federal Road in Danbury when it struck the 2012 Dodge Ram driven by 51-year-old Pedro Borgesserrafim, said police.  Clark was rushed to Danbury Hospital.
