I have a full plate. I have many projects. I’m going to be here doing the job as governor," Cuomo said. Cuomo Campaign Contributors Include New Tappan Zee Bridge Union Contractors
A Daily Voice analysis of campaign finance reports shows that New York's major labor unions involved in replacing the Tappan Zee Bridge donated almost $800,000 to Gov. Andrew Cuomo's re-election campaign. Meanwhile, the same unions landed billions of dollars in construction contracts to build the new bridge, which the Democratic governor seeking a third term on Nov. 6 officially named after his late father, Mario M. Cuomo. Numerous commuters have complained to Daily Voice that the new TZB remains as jammed during rush hour as ever -- especially during foul weather -- and they reject Cuomo's…

New Siena Poll Gives Early Look At How Cuomo-Molinaro Race Stands Now
A new Siena College Research Institute Poll indicates how the race between Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Republican challenger Marc Molinaro could become closer if Democratic primary loser Cynthia Nixon remains on a third-party ballot line. In the latest poll released on Monday, Oct. 1, Siena found that Cuomo, a Democrat seeking a third-term, leads Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro by 50 to 28 percent. But the same poll found that Nixon, who lost to Cuomo in the Sept. 13 primary election, could still drew 10 percent of the statewide vote if her name remains on the Working Families Party line…

Working Families Party Withdraws Nixon Ballot Line, Backs Incumbent Gov. Cuomo
Good news for Gov. Andrew Cuomo. Potentially bad news for the future of the Working Families Party. The WFP nominated Cuomo of New Castle for re-election on Wednesday night after he defeated the third party's endorsed candidate, actor Cynthia Nixon, in the Sept. 13 primary. But the last-minute maneuver puts the party, founded as an alliance between leftwing activists and some unions, at risk: It needs 50,000 votes on Nov. 6 to retain its line on New York state ballots for the next four years. The party voted to place Cuomo and his running mate, Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul, on the WFP ballot…

One of the possible deals is backing Nixon in a state Assembly race against a fellow Democratic lesbian, Deborah Glick, as reported here earlier by the New York Post. The problem is: …
