A hostage situation at a New York gas station finally ended after police posed as a TV news crew and pretended to interview the suspect, News10 ABC in Albany reports. Troy Police were called to the Stewart’s Shops convenience store on Vandenburgh Avenue at around 11:15 p.m. Thursday, June 2, with reports of a hostage situation, police said. Man Found Dead After Police Standoff In Westchester
A man who allegedly threatened an employee at a business in Westchester died following a standoff in which he fired shots at officers, authorities announced. Just before 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 13, officers were dispatched to 11 Livingston Avenue in Yonkers to check on the welfare of a man following a report that he had made threats to an employee of an insurance company. Woman Found Dead Following Standoff Identified
The City of Middletown Police Department has identified a woman found dead on the floor of an apartment they had been trying to gain entry into after receiving reports of a horrible smell coming from within. Helen Niven, 63, of Middletown has been identified as the woman found following a stand-off with police by her long-time partner, William Nott, 70, also of Middletown, said Middletown Police Lt.
