Woman Retrieving Dog Struck, Killed On Capital Region Highway A woman was struck and killed on a highway in the region while trying to retrieve her dog, authorities said. The incident happened at around 10:15 p.m. Sunday, March 26, on I-787 in Albany, according to New York State Police. Troopers said the woman, identified as Noella Boucher, age 82, of Sorel-Tracy, Quebec, Canada, was in the southbound lanes near exit 1 after grabbing her dog when she was struck by a car. The crash took place in Orange County on Sunday, March 26 around 9:30 p.m., on westbound I-84 in the town of Montgomery. During the two-vehicle crash Ragi Hill, age 26, of the town of Wallkill, was driving a 2014 Acura TL when she hit the ambulance, said Trooper Steven Nevel. Car Flips Over On Taconic State Parkway In Northern Westchester, Driver Hospitalized One person was taken to a hospital after their vehicle flipped over on the Taconic State Parkway in Northern Westchester.  The crash happened on Friday, March 3 just after noon when a car flipped over on the Taconic State Parkway southbound in Millwood just past the Exit 8 ramp, according to the Millwood Fire Department.  The occupant of the vehicle was able to free themselves from the wreckage and was evaluated by personnel from Ossining EMS and the Millwood Fire Department.  The driver was then taken to Westchester Medical Center to be treated for their injuries.

Car Crash Injures Person, Forces Trunk Door Open In Hudson Valley One person was injured after crashing their car in the Hudson Valley.  The one-car crash happened on Monday, Feb. 20 around 10:40 a.m., when firefighters in Carmel responded to Westshore Drive (Route 38) in the area of Farview Road.  After arriving at the scene of the crash, officials closed the road for around 20 minutes until the damaged vehicle, which had its trunk door popped open, was able to be towed away.  The occupant of the vehicle suffered minor injuries, according to the Mahopac Fire Department.

Car Flips Over, Slams Into Pole In Northern Westchester, Leaving Driver Injured A driver was left injured after a car overturned and crashed into a utility pole in Northern Westchester.  The incident happened on Thursday, Feb. 16 around 6 p.m., when a vehicle traveling in Croton-on-Hudson Old Post Road South flipped over and hit a pole on Nordica Drive, according to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department.  Firefighters and police then descended upon the scene to help the injured driver escape the vehicle.  After the occupant was turned over to first responders, firefighters waited for Con Edison to fix the pole, which took about 90 minutes.
