A former public works employee has been sentenced for his role in a hit-run crash that killed a beloved 16-year-old boy in Westchester. Former Yonkers Public Works Department worker Stephen Dolan, age 46, was sentenced on Thursday, Dec. 14 to one and a half to four and a half years in prison for vehicular manslaughter in connection with an August 2022 crash that killed 16-year-old Christopher Jack “CJ” Hackett of Yonkers, according to a report by ABC News. A Westchester public works employee who allegedly was intoxicated when he hit and killed a popular 16-year-old high school student riding a scooter has been charged with leaving the scene of a crash. A public works employee has been charged with a hit-and-crash that left a popular 16-year-old area student dead. The crash took place in Westchester around 12:20 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 3 in the 600 block of McLean Avenue in Yonkers. A New Rochelle man who died in a fiery car crash over the weekend has been identified. Robert Hopkins, 49, a passenger in a car that hit a utility pole and caught fire around 10 p.m. Saturday on Pinebrook Boulevard, died at the scene.
