A 19-year-old female (supervised by a plainclothed member of the state police) attempted to purchase alcoholic beverages from local businesses in Dutchess, state police said.
A total of 19 establishments were inspected which resulted in Bourbon Street Liquors in Hyde Park and the Mobil Gas Station on East Market Street in the Village of Rhinebeck both selling alcoholic beverages to the 19-year-old volunteer, state police said.
The clerks at both establishments were charged with selling alcohol to the underage person and are due back in their respective courts at a later date. The New York State Liquor Authority assisted in this detail.
