ShopRite of LaGrangeville, at 1642 NY-82, is one of dozens of old A&P stores purchased by the company. The store, which is slated to open in early spring, will be owned and operated by ShopRite Supermarkets, which already operates 33 ShopRite stores in New York and New Jersey.
“It takes a true team effort to operate a ShopRite store, and we consider our associates to be our greatest asset,” said Tom Urtz, vice president of operations, ShopRite Supermarkets. “We look forward to adding some new teammates to our close-knit community who share our mission of caring deeply about others and providing a great shopping experience.”
Candidates can submit their application online by visiting www.shoprite.com and clicking on the career opportunities link at the top of the page, then click on, current ShopRite Retail Career Opportunities and select LaGrangeville, N.Y., from the drop-down menu to view a list of hiring departments, job descriptions and fill out an online application.
For applicants without access to a computer, there are computers available for use at the hiring center, located in the same shopping plaza as the new ShopRite. After applications are received, a representative will contact candidates and provide the next steps in the hiring process. The hiring center is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and can be reached by phone at 845-447-1523.
