Rockland County resident Darryl Wright, age 41, of Pearl River, was charged on Thursday, Oct. 24, with criminal possession of a controlled substance, said Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Walsh.  According to Walsh, the bust came following a six-month investigation into narcotics sales in the Town of Orangetown. Man From Region Pretended To Be Engineer, Approved Plans, Police Say A Hudson Valley man was busted for the unauthorized practice of a profession for allegedly representing himself as an engineer. Orange County resident William Sattler, age 64, of Middletown, was charged by New York State Police on Thursday, Sept. 26. Person Walks Into Hospital In Region With Gunshot Wound, Police Say An investigation is underway after authorities say a person entered a hospital in the Hudson Valley with a gunshot wound. At about 3:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 29 in Rockland County, the the Orangetown Police Department said it was notified of the male patient that walked into Nyack Hospital with a non-life-threatening wound that allegedly occurred in the village of Nyack.  The incident is currently under investigation by the Orangetown PD Detective Bureau. Crash In Region Sends 1 To Hospital, Police Looking For Witnesses A person was rushed to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in a busy Hudson Valley intersection. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 5:50 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 8, in the area of Route 340 and Oak Tree Road in Orangetown. According to Sgt. Robert Wentland of the Orangetown Police, the victim, a bicyclist, was struck and injured while attempting to cross the intersection of Route 340 and Oak Tree Road.
