Missing 17-Year-Old Girl Feared Victim Of Sex Trafficking May Be In Area, Family Says The family of a missing 17-year-old girl from New York fears she may be the victim of sex trafficking. Long Island resident Catherine Berger, of Baldwin, was last seen leaving Baldwin High School at around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, according to Nassau County Police. Berger has ADHD, suffers from impulse control issues, and requires medication, her family told Daily Voice. The teen may be heading upstate to meet an unknown male. “We are concerned for her well-being and are fearing trafficking,” her aunt, Crystal Berger, said. Violent Stabbing Near High School In Region Leads to Multiple Arrests A 16-year-old boy is in critical but stable condition after being stabbed multiple times near his high school in the region. The incident occurred on Buckley Street around 3 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, in Sullivan County's village of Liberty. According to Liberty Police Chief Steven D'Agata, officers responded to Liberty High School after the injured teen had entered school grounds seeking help after being stabbed.  School Resource Officers applied a tourniquet to stop severe bleeding from multiple stab wounds, D'Agata said. The incident occurred in Ulster County at Rondout Valley High School in Accord around noon on Tuesday, Sept. 17. Teen Driver Smoked Marijuana Before Capital Region Crash Killing 14-Year-Old, Police Say An 18-year-old man is facing vehicular manslaughter charges in connection with an alleged DWI crash in the region that killed a 14-year-old girl. The Saratoga County incident happened at around 8:45 p.m. Saturday, June 29, in the town of Waterford.
