A New York State Police trooper who claimed he was shot on a roadway in the region has been sidelined amid doubts about his story. On Long Island, trooper Thomas Mascia, age 27, was suspended without pay and stripped of his agency-issued service weapon, an NYSP spokesperson told Daily Voice. Man Who Allegedly Robbed NY Walmart Charged Under County's Controversial Mask Law
A man who allegedly robbed a Long Island Walmart was also charged with violating Nassau County's controversial new mask law. The suspect was wearing a black ski mask when he entered the store located in East Meadow at 2465 Hempstead Turnpike at around 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26 and began concealing merchandise in his bag.
