Worker In Capital Region Assaulted Colleague With Hazardous Chemical, Police Say A public works employee in the Capital Region is facing charges after allegedly assaulting a colleague on the job. State Police in Washington County were first contacted about the alleged incident in September 2022. Troopers were told that on Tuesday, Sept. 13, an employee assaulted another worker at the White Creek Highway Department, located on County Route 68. Investigators concluded that 44-year-old John Nolan, of Cambridge, intentionally exposed another employee to a hazardous chemical in a confined space, according to State Police.
