Aggressive, Hungry Black Bear Returns To NY Home Shortly After Destroying Kitchen An aggressive black bear apparently searching for food destroyed the kitchen of an upstate New York home and then returned to the residence shortly after the break in. The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation said an officer received a report of the incident in  Washington County on Friday, June 21 in the town of White Creek, located about halfway between Saratoga Springs and Albany. Rensselaer County resident Tricia Daigneault, age 29, of Hoosick Falls, was one of two women who died in the Washington County wreck, which occurred in White Creek on Wednesday morning, May 15. Highway Dept. Worker In Capital Region Assaulted Colleague With Hazardous Chemical, Police Say A public works employee in the Capital Region is facing charges after allegedly assaulting a colleague on the job. State Police in Washington County were first contacted about the alleged incident in September 2022. Troopers were told that on Tuesday, Sept. 13, an employee assaulted another worker at the White Creek Highway Department, located on County Route 68. Investigators concluded that 44-year-old John Nolan, of Cambridge, intentionally exposed another employee to a hazardous chemical in a confined space, according to State Police.
