'Sing Sing', Based On Events In NY, First Film Shown In Prisons, Theaters: Report
A movie based on a theater program at a maximum security prison in the Hudson Valley is making history by becoming the first film to be screened in prisons across the country, according to a report by The Hollywood Reporter.
"Sing Sing," based on the Rehabilitation Through the Arts program at Sing Sing Correctional Facility in the Northern Westchester village of Ossining, will again be released in theaters on Friday, Jan. 17. On this same day, it will also be shown inside correctional facilities in 46 states, including New York, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Search Warrant Leads To Child Porn Charge For 60-Year-Old From Region
A Hudson Valley code enforcement officer and fire investigator has been charged with allegedly possessing materials showing obscene sexual performances by a child.
Orange County resident John Orr, age 60, of Pine Island, was charged on Wednesday, Nov. 6, following the execution of a search warrant by the New York State Police and the town of Warwick Police on Glenwood Road, in the Town of Warwick, said Trooper Steven Nvel.
After the search, Nevel said Orr was arrested, processed, and released on an appearance ticket.

Sometimes little boys will be just that, little boys.
That's was the story for one busy Hudson Valley mom when one of her two boys, ages 5 and 7, got his leg stuck in a tree and she had to call the police to help her get him free.
This all happened in Orange County at the home of Nicole Marie Manzare in Warwick on Wednesday, Dec. 28.
"I was cutting up cardboard and the boys, Will and Josh, were in the sideyard playing when I heard screaming, Manzare said.
