Man Charged With Robbing, Assaulting Sullivan County Resident: Police A 26-year-old man was arrested for allegedly robbing and assaulting a 71-year-old resident of the village of Monticello last year. Tyjhe Daeshawn Hargrove, of Brooklyn, was charged on Friday, Jan. 10, following an investigation into the Wednesday, July 3, 2024, attack at the Quality Gas and Convenience Store in Monticello. According to Monticello Police Lt. Mark Johnstone, Hargrove intentionally struck the victim in the face with a closed fist and stole a $100 bill from the victim's hand while he lay on the floor of the store. Shots Fired Incident Leads To Dramatic Arrest Of Sullivan County Man: Police A Monticello man wanted for a 2024 shooting incident was taken into custody after a foot pursuit in which he allegedly attempted to grab a firearm. Jaimuj Tomlinson, age 21, was arrested around 10:40 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12, following a dramatic foot pursuit on Broadway, said Lt. Mark Johnstone of the Monticello Police. Man Nabbed For Commercial Burglaries In Region, Police Say A man from the region was nabbed by police for the second time for allegedly committing commercial burglaries. Sullivan County resident Justus L. McMoore, age 37 of Monticello, was arrested on Saturday, Oct. 8, according to Monticello PD Lt. Mark Johnstone.
