Hudson Valley Man Admits Stalking, Beating Ex-Girlfriend, DA Says A Hudson Valley man has pleaded guilty to stalking and criminal contempt on the first day a jury trial was set to begin. Orange County resident Raymond Brown Jr., age 50, of Newburgh, pleaded guilty on Tuesday, Aug. 29, in Ulster County Court. According to the Ulster County District Attorney's Office, the indictment charged Brown with repeated and numerous threatening text messages he sent to the victim, a former girlfriend.  He later followed through on his threats when he physically attacked her. Sexual Abuse Of 3-Year-Old Lands Hudson Valley Man In Prison For 20 Years A Hudson Valley man has been sentenced to prison for the sexual abuse of a 3-year-old child and photographing the horrific crimes. Ulster County resident Benjamin Santiago, age 28, of Saugerties, was sentenced by Judge Bryan Rounds in Ulster County Court to 20 years to life on Monday, March 20. The sentence comes after a June 2022 conviction of predatory sexual abuse against a child, following an investigation by the Ulster County Family and Child Advocacy Center of Santiago’s crimes.
