33-Year-Old Driver Nabbed After Hudson Valley Police Pursuit Ends In Crash A 33-year-old Hudson Valley man is behind bars after allegedly taking New York State Police on a pursuit, ending in a crash with damage to a police car. Dutchess County resident Christopher Melvin, age 33, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested in Orange County on Tuesday, June 11, in the town of Newburgh after crashing into a police vehicle. Duo Nabbed With Cocaine In Hidden Compartment Inside Mercedes In Hudson Valley, Police Say Two men were nabbed with cocaine found in a hidden compartment in their vehicle during a traffic stop in the Hudson Valley, police said. The bust took place in Ulster County on Wednesday, April 26 in the town of Plattekill. Trio Nabbed With Drugs During Traffic Stop In Region, Police Say A man and two others were busted on drug charges during a traffic stop in the region on I-87. The incident took place in Ulster County around 6 p.m., on Wednesday, April 12 on I-87 In Plattekill. Troopers from the Troop F Community Stabilization Unit were patrolling I-87 in the town of Plattekill when they spotted a 2010 BMW-528i traveling north in violation of numerous traffic laws, said Trooper Steven Nevel.
