Hudson Valley Man Nabbed With Gun, 16-Round Magazine, Police Say
A Hudson Valley man was charged with possession of a weapon after being nabbed with a gun and a 17-round magazine.
Ulster County resident Aiden M. Becnel, age 21, of Saugerties, around 4 a.m., Tuesday, June 6, said Chief Joseph Sinagra, of the Saugerties Police.
At the time of his arrest, Becnel was found to be in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun containing a loaded 17-round magazine, Sinagra said.
Becnel was processed at Saugerties Police Headquarters and then arraigned in the Town of Saugerties Justice Court, where Becnel was released on his own recognizance by the court…

Ulster County resident Matthew Doyle, age 40, of Saugerties, was charged on Wednesday, Feb. 1 for the burglary which took place in Sept. 2022.
On Sunday, Sept. 4, 2022, Saugerties Police responded to Malden Turnpike in the town of Saugerties for a reported past burglary at a private residence, said Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra.

Drunk Driver Crashes Onto Railroad Tracks, Damages Vehicle In Hudson Valley, Police Say
A Hudson Valley man was driving drunk when he crashed his car onto railroad tracks, damaging his vehicle, police said.
In Ulster County, police in Saugerties were called just before 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, with reports of a crash on Peoples Road.
When officers arrived, they determined that 23-year-old Bilal Ahmad, of Palenville in Greene county, had driven his vehicle up onto railroad tracks after failing to negotiate a three-way intersection, Saugerties Police said.
The crash caused extensive damage to the undercarriage of Ahmad’s car.
