Decomposed Body Found Inside Capital Region Home; Suspect Accused Of Hiding Corpse
Police are investigating after a dead body was found inside a home in the region. Albany County Sheriff’s deputies made the shocking discovery at an Albany residence in the West Hill neighborhood, located on Sheridan Avenue near Henry Johnson Boulevard, on Thursday, July 11. Deputies obtained a search warrant for the home after learning of a possibly deceased individual inside. A 22-year-old man with a history of weapons charges is accused of firing a gun near an elementary school in the region and then attempting to flee police, authorities said. Officers in Albany weren’t far away when they heard several gunshots on Sheridan Avenue near Robin Street at around 10:45 a.m. Monday, May 8, according to Albany Police. Victim In NY Sword Attack Is School Shooter, Report Says
A man who was brutally attacked with a sword at a New York homeless shelter has been identified as the gunman in a 2004 shooting at an upstate high school, according to News10 in Albany. Police said a 34-year-old man suffered severe injuries when another man struck him several times with a sword at the Capital Connections Drop-In Center in Albany on Monday, Aug. 29.
