Officials are investigating after several Hudson Valley students were the targets of explicitly racist text messages that were also sent to Black and Brown students in several states since Election Day. Crash In Region Sends 1 To Hospital, Police Looking For Witnesses
A person was rushed to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in a busy Hudson Valley intersection. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 5:50 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 8, in the area of Route 340 and Oak Tree Road in Orangetown. According to Sgt. Robert Wentland of the Orangetown Police, the victim, a bicyclist, was struck and injured while attempting to cross the intersection of Route 340 and Oak Tree Road. Police in the Hudson Valley are investigating after a woman was found unconscious with a single gunshot wound on a city street. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 12:40 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 24, in the area of Edward Street and the Joseph B. Clarke Rail Trail in Sparkill. According to Orangetown Police Sgt. A suspect has been apprehended days after a resident was stabbed multiple times outside a home in a quiet neighborhood in the Hudson Valley. An investigation is ongoing after a female was found dead near a marina overlooking the Hudson River. On Sunday, July 30, at approximately 2:45 p.m. in Rockland County, the body was found in the water near the boat launch at the Nyack Marina.
