Suspect Punched Victim Unconscious During Robbery In Capital District, Police Say
A 23-year-old Capital District man remains hospitalized in the intensive care unit after police said he was attacked during a robbery. Albany Police said the incident occurred shortly after 3 a.m. Saturday, July 30, near South Pearl and Schuyler streets. Officers were initially called with reports of a man with a weapon. When they arrived they found the victim, identified as an Albany resident, unconscious and appearing to be having a seizure, police said. A man and a woman from the region are facing felony charges after police said they robbed a victim in his home and then fled the scene in his pickup truck. Police received a report about a robbery in Sullivan County on Old Liberty Road in Monticello at about 2:40 a.m. on Friday, July 15, according to New York State Police. A plea to the public and a collaborative effort by area police departments led to the arrest of a man wanted on burglary and robbery charges. The incident began in Ulster County in the town of Saugerties when during the early morning hours of Friday, May 20, Saugerties Police received numerous calls reporting larcenies from unlocked vehicles. Man Charged In Robbery Turned Fatal Shooting In Capital District
Prosecutors in the Capital District have formally charged a suspect accused of gunning down a man during a robbery. Albany County resident Ahlaumion Hall, age 25, of Cohes, is facing multiple charges in connection with the death of Charles Gibson Jr., according to the Albany County District Attorney’s Office. Prosecutors said Hall fatally shot Gibson, age 35, with a shotgun at around 1 a.m. on May 26 during a robbery attempt near Quail and Second streets in Albany. Teen Nabbed For Knifepoint Robbery At Hudson Valley Dunkin' Donuts
A Hudson Valley teen has been arrested for allegedly robbing a Dunkin' Donuts at knifepoint. It took place in Orange County in the city of Newburgh on Saturday, May 7 at the Dunkin' located at 674 Broadway in Newburgh. The 17-year-old teen, who was not identified due to his age, was arrested on Friday, May 13, following an investigation, said the city of Newburgh Police. A Hudson Valley man was carjacked and robbed at gunpoint while attempting to sell his car. The incident took place in Orange County in the town of Newburgh on Tuesday, May 17.
