Going Once: Hotel In Region To Be Sold At Auction After several years of being operated by a management company, a popular, well-appointed hotel in the region is being auctioned next month. According to Ten-X, the 121-room Holiday Inn Express in Dutchess County on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie will be auctioned on Wednesday, Nov. 20. The company-owned property was originally put up for sale in 2020, but it was pulled due to the pandemic and market plunges.  Ten-X says the property is offered unencumbered by management and debt. The purple and pink lights were visible due to a Solar Storm, or a Coronal Mass Ejection from the sun on Tuesday, Oct. 8 which arrived in the area Thursday. Assailant Flees Scene After Woman Stabbed In Region A Hudson Valley woman was stabbed during a fight between two groups of people on a city street.  The incident occurred in Dutchess County around 10 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 9, on Montgomery Street in the city of Poughkeepsie. According to Det. Lt. Sean McCarthy of the city of Poughkeepsie Police, Donyae Paris Andrews, age 24, of Poughkeepsie, received non-life-threatening injuries to her arm during the attack.
