A Capital Region man is behind bars after being nabbed with child pornography following a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Rensselaer County resident Brayden P. Ayer, age 20, of Castleton on Hudson, was charged on Friday, Sept. 27, for promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child. Juvenile From Region Nabbed For Making 'Non-Specific' School Threat, Police Say
A juvenile was charged with allegedly making a threat of mass harm after the FBI alerted the New York State Police of a school threat made in the region on TikTok. The incident occurred in Dutchess County on Tuesday, Oct. 1, in Wappinger. Trooper AJ Hicks said an investigation determined the "non-specific threat originated from the town of Wappinger. Investigators located and arrested the minor soon after, Hicks said. He was released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Dutchess County Family Court. This is a developing story. Man From Region Shot In Foot, Police Search For Suspects
Police are investigating and searching for suspects in connection with a shooting that left a Hudson Valley man wounded. The incident occurred in Sullivan County at 10:10 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 30, at Broadway and Jefferson Street in the village of Monticello. Lt. Mark Johnstone of the Monticello Police said responding officers found a 22-year-old Monticello man on Liberty Street who had been shot in the left foot. A missing woman who had not been seen in a day was located by a New York State Police drone at the bottom of a Hudson Valley cliff. The incident occurred in Orange County around 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 27, at the Hawk's Nest in Sparrow Bush. Have you seen him? A teenager has gone missing in the region and authorities are asking the public's help in locating him. The New York State Police in Northern Westchester County are searching for Andy Salazar, age 17, from Four Winds Hospital in the Lewisboro hamlet of Cross River.
