Gunman Who Opened Fire On NY Cops Pleads Guilty To Attempted Murder
A New York man who opened fire on police officers in the Capital Region pleaded guilty to attempted murder, authorities announced Thursday, April 2.
Michael Broadie, a 41-year-old Albany man, fired multiple shots at Troy Police Department officers in the city on Dec. 2, 2024, the Rensselaer County District Attorney’s office said.
Cops responded to 10th Street and Jacob Street in Troy that day for reports of a man flashing a handgun, prosecutors said. They located Broadie at the intersection, but he fled the area, according to authorities.
