Going Once: Hotel In Region To Be Sold At Auction
After several years of being operated by a management company, a popular, well-appointed hotel in the region is being auctioned next month. According to Ten-X, the 121-room Holiday Inn Express in Dutchess County on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie will be auctioned on Wednesday, Nov. 20. The company-owned property was originally put up for sale in 2020, but it was pulled due to the pandemic and market plunges. Ten-X says the property is offered unencumbered by management and debt. A popular cafe in the region known for its impressive breakfast and lunch menu is about to get its 15 minutes of fame. Schenectady County restaurant Lily’s Cafe, located in Glenville at 181 Freemans Bridge Road, is set to appear on “America’s Best Restaurants,” which highlights independently owned eateries across the country. Hudson Valley Man Who Worked Throughout Nation In Hospitality Industry Dies At 51
A Hudson Valley resident who worked in the hospitality industry in different states across the nation has died at the age of 51. Jason Antonelli died from an "unexpected cardiac event" in Newburgh on Wednesday, July 6, according to his obituary. Antonelli, who was known in his early years as Jason Reichgut, grew up in Hyde Park and graduated from Roosevelt High School, where he was a member of the varsity crew and varsity soccer teams.
