A manufacturer is recalling a frozen food product due to the potential to be contaminated with Hepatitis A. in cooperation with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Wawona Frozen Foods issued the recall for its Organic Daybreak Blend, 4-pound size because the frozen organic strawberries in the blend may have the potential to be contaminated with Hepatitis A. Scenic Fruit Company said it is recalling frozen organic strawberries sold at Costco and Aldi, and frozen organic tropical blend sold to Trader Joe’s due to an outbreak of Hepatitis A illnesses. An outbreak of hepatitis A linked to strawberries is under investigation in the United States and Canada, the Food and Drug Administration said. The multi-state, multi-territory outbreak is potentially connected to fresh organic strawberries branded as FreshKampo and HEB, purchased between Saturday, March 5, 2022, and Monday, April 25, 2022.
