Hunter Hospitalized After Accidental Shooting In Region
An early morning hunting expedition turned perilous for a 26-year-old man, who was hospitalized following a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Ulster County Sheriff's deputies were called to Woods Road in Kingston on Saturday, Nov. 30, at 7 a.m., where they found the hunter in his pickup truck with a severe injury to his left forearm, said Capt. Traveler Caught With Loaded Gun During Security Screening At Albany Airport
Security screeners stopped a man from carrying a loaded gun onto a plane at an airport in the region. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers made the discovery Tuesday, May 9, at Albany International Airport, the agency announced. During a routine screening, the Guilderland man was found to be carrying a semi-automatic 9mm handgun loaded with seven rounds. None of the bullets were chambered. New Yorkers hoping to carry concealed handguns will soon have to share their social media accounts as part of a more stringent application process under a new state law.
