Man Found Dead In Home Pool In Region
Police are investigating after a man was found dead in a Hudson Valley home pool. The incident occurred in Orange County around 12:15 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12, on Aster Way in Wallkill. According to Wallkill Police Lt. Robert McLymore, officers discovered the victim, a 79-year-old Sullivan County man from Rock Hill, unconscious and unresponsive while in the pool. Officers and EMS immediately began life-saving measures, including CPR, McLymore said. A person was rushed to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in a busy Hudson Valley intersection. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 5:50 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 8, in the area of Route 340 and Oak Tree Road in Orangetown. According to Sgt. Robert Wentland of the Orangetown Police, the victim, a bicyclist, was struck and injured while attempting to cross the intersection of Route 340 and Oak Tree Road. A 19-year-old was killed in a two-vehicle crash after he allegedly ran a red light in the region, striking another car. Police in the Hudson Valley are investigating after a woman was found unconscious with a single gunshot wound on a city street. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 12:40 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 24, in the area of Edward Street and the Joseph B. Clarke Rail Trail in Sparkill. According to Orangetown Police Sgt. It happened just after 3 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 in Central Nyack, outside CY's Restaurant and Lounge, located at 37 Route 59. A 47-year-old Hudson Valley man died from severe burns after battling a barn fire. The incident occurred in Orange County around 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 23, in Pine Island on Amity Road. According to Warwick Police Chief John Rader, police officers, the Pine Island Fire Department, and EMS responded to a report of a structure fire. A two-vehicle crash caused a busy Hudson Valley intersection to close for almost an hour and caused injuries. The collision happened in Putnam County on Sunday, July 21 just after 5:30 p.m., when two cars crashed at the intersection of Route 6 and Croton Falls Road (Route 34) in Mahopac. According to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department, one person received medical transport while another was taken to a hospital. A three-alarm fire destroyed a Hudson Valley home and kept firefighters on the scene for more than seven hours. The fire took place in Sullivan County around 8 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 27 at 132 Haddock Road in Monticello.
