Lance Norman, 36, of Queens, was arrested on Monday, May 12, in connection with an elaborate Publishers Clearing House scam that targeted a victim in Columbia County, according to New York State Police. A Chatham man told troopers he received a phone call claiming he had won $10 million and a new Mercedes-Benz. Man's Body Found In Wooded Area In Northern Westchester Authorities are investigating the death of a man known for living off the grid after his body was discovered in a wooded area in Northern Westchester.  The body was found on Friday, Dec. 29 around 2 p.m. in a wooded region in the Crompond area near the Yorktown and Cortlandt border, Yorktown Police announced.  The department made the discovery after the elderly man's friends reported that he had missed several lunch gatherings, police said. Elderly Man Broke Into Capital Region Home For 'Sexual Gratification,' Police Say An elderly man is facing charges after allegedly breaking into a home in New York's Capital Region. Troopers in Columbia County began investigating after getting reports of a break-in at a home in the town of Ghent on Wednesday, Nov. 23, according to State Police.
