Orange County resident Chauncey Smith, age 23, of Pine Bush, was sentenced on Tuesday, July 16, to three to nine years in prison in connection with the Monday, August 14, 2023 crash, said Orange County District Attorney David M. New York State Police found Cassandra Jones, of Albany, stopped on I-87 in Bethlehem with a flat tire at around 6:20 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 28. But as troopers spoke with Jones, they determined that she was under the influence of alcohol, police said. Capital District Man Busted For Driving High On Drugs With Child In Vehicle, Police Say A man from the Capital District is facing charges after he was allegedly busted driving high on drugs with a child in the car. Troopers stopped Schenectady resident Derrick Hill, age 50, Monday evening, June 27, on I-87 in the town of Coeymans for a vehicle and traffic violation, according to New York State Police.
