The Dutchess County Drug Task Force reported a significant spike in overdoses in the Dutchess County area over this past weekend. In response, task force agents were deployed into specific areas of Poughkeepsie on Monday, July 24 where two fentanyl dealers were operating in different locations, said Det. Sgt. Man Nabbed In Theft Of $7K From Parked Vehicle In Region A man from the region has been charged with grand larceny in connection with the theft of $7,500 from a vehicle parked at a construction site.  The incident took place in Sullivan County around 5:15 p.m., Tuesday, May 30 on Pleasant Street in the village of Monticello. According to Lt. Mark Johnstone of the Monticello Police, officers responded to a report of the theft at a construction job site on Pleasant Street. Hudson Valley Fentanyl-Crack Dealer Busted By Drug Task Force, Police Say An alleged fentanyl and crack dealer is behind bars after being busted for possession of a "significant" quantity of drugs found during a warrants search in the Hudson Valley. Dutchess County resident Jerod F. Willis, age 40, of the city of Poughkeepsie, was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 16, before a warrant search was conducted at his South Cherry Street home.  During the search, Dutchess County Task Force members found a significant amount of drugs, said Det. Driver High On Mushrooms Had Dog In Car During Capital Region Crash, Police Say A 40-year-old man is facing charges after crashing his car while allegedly high on mushrooms with a dog inside, authorities said. New York State Police said troopers in Greene County were called at around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, with reports of a single-vehicle crash on State Route 23A in the town of Hunter.
