7-Year-Old Struck in Hudson Valley Crosswalk, Driver Cited for Failure to Yield: Police A 7-year-old child suffered minor injuries after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street with his mother in a Kingston crosswalk. The incident occurred around 8:50 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 8, on the Boulevard near Stewarts, said Lt. Patrick Buono of the Kingston Police. According to Buono, a 2011 Chevy Silverado, driven by Nicholas Visbeck, age 33, of Kingston, struck the child crossing the street with his mother in the crosswalk. The child, who complained of pain, was transported to HealthAlliance Hospital Broadway Campus by the Kingston Fire Department. Injuries are not believed…

2-Year-Old Struck, Killed By SUV In Region An investigation is underway after a 2-year-old girl was struck and killed by a van in the Hudson Valley. The incident occurred in Rockland County at 3:10 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 9, on Calvert Drive in the village of Kaser in Ramapo. According to Ramapo Police Lt. Michael Gannon, responding officers found the child was struck by a 2014 Honda Odyssey and had sustained life-threatening injuries.  The girl was transported to Nyack Hospital by Hatzolah Ambulance and later died from her injuries, Gannon said.
