Punches, Car Crash: Would-Be Robber Attacks Man In Capital Region Neighborhood Police are investigating a late-night attempted robbery in the region that caused a minor car crash and left a man injured. The Rensselaer County incident happened just before midnight Wednesday, Oct. 11, in Troy’s Lansingburgh neighborhood, according to Troy Police. Detectives said the victim was sitting in his car near 6th Avenue and 103rd Street when a man approached and brandished a gun,  demanding his marijuana. Calls began flooding into 911 at around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, with reports of a shooting in Troy, near 6th Avenue and 103rd Street.
