Teen Arrested For Menacing With Knife During Fight At Capital Region High School: Police A 17-year-old Albany High School student was arrested after allegedly brandishing a knife during an altercation with another student, police said. The incident occurred at 9:40 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, at Albany High School on Washington Avenue, prompting a lockdown.  According to Megan Craft of the Albany Police, a school monitor witnessed the altercation and observed the 17-year-old wielding a knife in a threatening manner. Capital Region Teen Others Beat Victims With Baseball Bat For Jordan A 19-year-old man and four others are accused of beating a father and son with baseball bats to steal their shoes at a Capital Region sports store over the weekend, authorities said.  Albany County resident Kyle H. Fowlkes, of Colonie, faces charges of robbery, two counts of assault, and possession of a weapon, Colonie police said. 29-Year-Old Leads Troopers On Pursuit Before Crashing On Capital Region Highway, Police Say A high-speed police chase in the region ended with a motorcyclist in the hospital. The Albany County incident happened at around 8 p.m. Saturday, June 22, on southbound I-87 in Colonie. New York State Police said troopers attempted to stop a motorcyclist for speeding near Exit 4, but the man continued driving southbound as police followed. He attempted to get off the highway at Exit 2W, but lost control and crashed on the off-ramp.
