Man Charged With Robbing, Assaulting Sullivan County Resident: Police A 26-year-old man was arrested for allegedly robbing and assaulting a 71-year-old resident of the village of Monticello last year. Tyjhe Daeshawn Hargrove, of Brooklyn, was charged on Friday, Jan. 10, following an investigation into the Wednesday, July 3, 2024, attack at the Quality Gas and Convenience Store in Monticello. According to Monticello Police Lt. Mark Johnstone, Hargrove intentionally struck the victim in the face with a closed fist and stole a $100 bill from the victim's hand while he lay on the floor of the store. Shots Fired Incident Leads To Dramatic Arrest Of Sullivan County Man: Police A Monticello man wanted for a 2024 shooting incident was taken into custody after a foot pursuit in which he allegedly attempted to grab a firearm. Jaimuj Tomlinson, age 21, was arrested around 10:40 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12, following a dramatic foot pursuit on Broadway, said Lt. Mark Johnstone of the Monticello Police. Driver Charged In Death Of Sullivan County Woman Killed in Pedestrian Crash: Police A 29-year-old Liberty woman has died after being struck by a vehicle in Sullivan County, and the driver is now facing charges of vehicular manslaughter and driving while impaired, State Police report. The crash occurred early Friday, Jan. 5, on Glen Wild. Road near Pine Tree Road in the town of Thompson, said Trooper Jennifer Alvarez. According to Alvarez, a 2018 Toyota RAV 4, driven by Sadia K. At approximately 12:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 25, deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a domestic dispute at 144 Lucky Lake Drive in Rock Hill, the department said.
