Crash Closes Lane On Palisades Parkway In Stony Point (Developing) A crash temporarily blocked part of the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Rockland County and resulted in injuries amid snowy weather.  The incident happened on Thursday, Feb. 6 at around 9:45 a.m. on the southbound lanes just south of Exit 16 in Stony Point, according to 511NY. As a result of the crash, the right lane was blocked to traffic in the area. It has since reopened as of 11:45 a.m.  Injuries were reported. Authorities have not yet released more information about their severity. This is a developing story. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

Former Nypd Officer From Orange Admits Role In Husband's Death After Driving Over 100 MPH A former New York City police officer from the Hudson Valley has pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide after driving drunk at over 100 mph and causing the crash that killed her husband in Rockland County, authorities announced.  Bernadine Thomas, age 36, of Maybrook in Orange County, entered the guilty plea on Monday, Feb. 3 before Rockland County Court Judge Kevin Russo, according to New York Attorney General Letitia James.  Thomas admitted to driving with a blood alcohol content of .10 while reaching speeds of up to 109 mph on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Havers…

Kayla Jones, of the Bronx, was charged with grand larceny on Tuesday, Dec. 10, after security video showed a purple-haired woman wearing a black sweatshirt and grey pants, get into the car at the Stony Point Budget Inn and drive away on Route 9W, said Lt.
