Clive Davis Dies: Music Legend From NY Launched Slew Of Stars' Careers
A towering figure behind some of music’s biggest names has died.
Clive Davis, the record executive and producer who helped launch and shape the careers of Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, Whitney Houston, Aerosmith, Earth, Wind & Fire, and many others, died on Monday, June 22, at age 94, according to multiple reports.
Davis died at his home in Manhattan after a hospitalization for respiratory issues, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Davis was born in Brooklyn and became one of the most influential executives in modern music.

Chris Bernard, a Bergen County, NJ dad, former Adelphi University Hall of Fame basketball star and CEO who once worked in a VP role for the NY Knicks, has died. He was 47 years old.
As of Wednesday, Jan. 8, more than $220,000 had been raised on a GoFundMe launched to support Chris' wife, Amanda, and their three children, Roman, Jude, and Chloe, of Englewood. The campaign was launched by Dan Gladstone, a senior VP at the National Basketball Players Association.
