Tractor-Trailer Crash Shuts Down Thruway In Region (Developing) A major crash blocked all eastbound lanes of the Thruway in Rotterdam for hours on Thursday, Feb. 27. Eastbound I-90 was fully closed at milepost 158, at the I-88 interchange, at 12:45 p.m. due to a crash involving a tractor-trailer, the New York State Thruway Authority said. Traffic cameras showed the tractor-trailer in a jack-knifed position with debris scattered across the roadway. The roadway had partially reopened by 3 p.m . Traffic Alert: Crash Causes Hours-Long I-87 Closure In Ulster County A fuel tank rollover crash has caused heavy delays on a busy stretch of the New York State Thruway. State Police said the crash has all I-87 southbound lanes closed from Exit 21 in Catskill to Ulster County in Saugerties Exit 20 for at least the next six hours. State police said the crash occurred in Ulster County around 3:50 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, near mile marker 105. No one was injured, but an unknown quantity of diesel fuel spilled and is in the process of being cleaned up.  The southbound lanes will be closed most of the morning until the cleanup is complete, state police said. …

Woman, 25, Killed After Car Rolls Over Several Times On NY Thruway This story has been updated. A woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash after her car rolled multiple times on the Adirondack Northway.  The collision occurred in Saratoga County around 4:50 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 1, on the Northway north of the Exit 14 off-ramp in Saratoga Springs. According to New York State Police Trooper Stephanie O'Neil, the crash caused one of the vehicles to overturn and killed the driver, identified as Makenzie T. Minkler, age 25, of Rensselaer.
