Person Jumps From Bridge In Hudson Valley Dive teams, fire departments, and EMS personnel are searching for a person who jumped from a bridge in the region. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge in Beacon around 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17. Hudson Valley Man Stabbed Multiple Times During Assault A Hudson Valley man is recovering after being stabbed multiple times during an assault. The incident occurred in Orange County around 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, in the town of Wallkill. According to Wallkill Police Lt. Robert McLymore, officers responded to an assault at 265 Route 211 E. and found a 64-year-old Middletown man. Police To Target Aggressive Drivers In This Hudson Valley Town As aggressive drivers flood the roadways, a town in the region will increase traffic enforcement to address the issue. The patrols will occur in Dutchess County in the town of Poughkeepsie in the coming weeks. According to the town of Poughkeepsie Police, officers will actively monitor for violations such as speeding, unsafe lane changes, passing red lights, and other dangerous driving behaviors.  "Our goal is to enhance road safety and ensure a secure driving environment for everyone," the department said.
