Repeat Drunk Driver Admits Hitting, Killing Man Outside Woodbury Restaurant More than a year after a husband and father was struck and killed by a repeat drunk driver outside a Long Island restaurant, his family is getting closure. Willem Specht, age 63, of Wantagh, pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide and related charges in Nassau County Court on Monday, Aug. 26, in the death of Joseph Devito. Drunk Teen Who Killed 6-Year-Old 'Bright Light' On Long Island Sentenced To Prison A 19-year-old man will spend years behind bars for a drunk driving crash that killed a young Long Island girl two days before her birthday. Jorge Bonilla Gutierrez, of Freeport, was sentenced to six to 12 years in prison in Nassau County Court on Monday, Aug. 5, in the death of Katerine Vanegas Hernandez.
