Man Sentenced For Violent Attack, Kidnapping Of Estranged Wife In Hempstead A Connecticut man has been sentenced to decades in prison for a violent attack and kidnapping of his his estranged wife on Long Island. Fairfield County resident Ubay Muhammad, age 38, of Bridgeport,  went to the victim’s apartment building on Colombia Street in Hempstead wearing dark clothing, glasses, and a mask and snuck into the building in November 2022, according to Nassau County District Attorney Anne T.
