Suspect Nabbed, ID Released For Woman Fatally Stabbed Near West Hempstead Restaurant A suspect has been apprehended and the identity has been released of a woman who was fatally stabbed behind a Long Island restaurant. Nassau County Police Fifth Precinct officers responded for a 911 call for a stabbing in the rear of La Candela Restaurant in West Hempstead located at 205 Hempstead Turnpike at around 12:05 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 29. Upon arrival, officers located two victims: a 52-year-old woman who was stabbed multiple times and a 50-year-old man with a laceration to his hand.  Both victims were transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment. The man w…
